Through Many Miles of Tricks and Trials: It's time for Agatha and her makeshift coven to begin their journey on the Witches' Road. It won't be easy as trials await each one of them and not everyone will make it out alive. Let's get into it with this Agatha All Along Episode 3 Easter Eggs, breakdown, and recap.
Agatha All Along Episode 3 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
They begin their walk down the Witches' Road… there is no cell service down there. Lilia warns them that they will face their worst nightmares.
Agatha tells them there will be one trial for each magic type.
The other witches realize Teen has been marked with Sigil– a redaction spell that hides something from others.
Mrs. Hart (rightfully) freaks out a little and wanders off looking for a way home. The road tries to literally pull her underground. Moral of that story- do not step off the road.
They come to a beach house with the phases of the moon carved into the door. The center of the door has a full moon- the water phase.
Inside the house is an invitation that says “The Witches’ Road cordially invites you to the first trial. Please see reverse side of card.”
On the other side of the card is a riddle: My age has value. I’m no fun alone. I mess with our mind. My tricks are well-known.
A bottle of Reyna Roja wine appears on the table– an obvious breadcrumb according to Agatha.
Jen tells Teen he needs to be careful. Agatha traded her own child for the book of the damned. No one knows if her child is dead, a demon, or an agent of Mephisto.
In the comics, Agatha's son was an agent of Dormammu but accused of working for Mephisto.
After they *all* drink the wine, a timer starts. They have 30 mins to find an antidote to the poison they just drank.
Alice's tattoo is a symbol that wards off curses. Her mother told her that all the women in their family are cursed. Teen sympathizes and tells her a lot of things happened to him at 13 too (which to him was 3 years ago).
The poison begins to take effect, as everyone's faces begin to swell. Except Agatha's because she didn't drink the wine. Teen calls her out for not participating, eventually she drinks too.
Jen figures out the poison is called Alewife’s Revenge.
They all begin to hallucinate. Mrs. Hart relived the moment in WandaVision when her husband was dying at the dinner table.
This is Jen's trial. As the potion witch, she needs to find the antidote.
Alice sees her mother who starts talking about her grandmother dying and that she is next. Her mom screams I can't protect you!
Meanwhile, Jen sees a doctor who calls her an inconvenient woman. He tries to drown her in the kitchen sink she is using in place of a cauldron. This is the man who stole her magic.
Lilia sees a young teenage girl who asks her if she wants to “see.” Following her, Lilia finds a demon looking nun.
A crack forms in the window and salt water starts to leak into the house. They are running out of time.
Agatha hears a baby crying. She looks inside the crib but finds the Darkhold.
Jen's cure works and the house allows them to leave… through the oven. Lilia tells them she's not going in there because that happened to her friend, who had a lovely house too. (This is of course a reference to the witch in Hansel and Gretel.)
But they have no choice because the water spews into the house so they all leave through the oven. Unfortunately, Mrs. Hart, Sharon has died.
