Seekest Thou the Road: Agatha All Along has finally premiered, just in time for the full moon and spooky season. Agatha is still trapped in Wanda's spell but help is on the way. What will she do when she finally snaps out of it? Let's find out with this Agatha All Along Episode 1 Easter Eggs, breakdown, and recap.
Agatha All Along Episode 1 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
Agatha or Agnes, is driving in her car humming the Ballad of the Witches. She's working as a detective in Westview and is headed to a scene where a body was found.
This opening montage is similar to that of Mare of Easttown.
Her neighbor Herb is at the scene. He is also a police officer in this reality. Herb tells her they found a Jane Doe wearing jeans and hoodie. The only thing on her is an old library card from the Westview Branch. She died by being crushed. All of this alluding to it being Wanda.
Agnes walks farther into the woods and finds the brooch she wore in WandaVision.
The opening credits play the Ballad of the Witches: True Crime Version. The cast is listed as their characters. It also says AGNES OF WESTVIEW is based on the Danish Series WANDAVISDYSEN.
Agnes asks the Librarian (Dottie) about the card. She tells Agnes they don't use these anymore. But she does look it up for her and it turns out the book was stolen 3 years ago but that there should be other copies in the Natural Sciences section.

The dates on the library card are:
- Jan 18
- Oct 22
- Feb 04
- Feb 16
- Aug 28
- June 02
- Dec 28
- Jan 21
- Oct 13
Feb. 16 is Elizabeth Olson's Birthday.
Aug. 28 is Jack Kirby's birthday, one of the creators of Wanda Maximoff.
Dec. 28 is Stan Lee's birthday.
Jun. 2 was the date Bridget Bishop became the first person to be tried and convicted of witchcraft in Salem. It is also Kevin Feige's birthday and Agnes and Ralph's anniversary in WandaVision.
Agnes goes to find the other copies and the area has been torched. A creepy guy appears and whispers “there was a fire” and that every last copy was destroyed.
Police Chief Phil tells Agnes the soil under Jane Doe's nails is only found in Eastern Europe–the last place we saw Wanda in Multiverse of Madness was Mount Wundagore.
On Agnes' desk is a coffee mug that says Get A Clue.
Rio Vidal appears as an FBI agent and says to her “is this really how you see yourself?”
Like Agatha did in WandaVision, Vidal says things and pushes Agnes to force her to realize something isn't right.
Agnes takes the brooch to Norm, who is running the pawn shop. He tells her it is the symbol of the Triple Goddess: Maiden Mother Crone. It's also a locket. Inside there is a lock of hair.
Back at the office, Agnes figures out the book title spells out DARKHOLD.
She finally goes home. Inside she walks into a child's room. It is Nicholas' room, her son. On the table there is an old Mickey Mouse figurine. There are awards for best vocals and a bunny figurine.
In the comics, Nicholas Scratch became a powerful Warlock and the leader of the hidden New Salem Community. He was a villain who turned on his mother and also fought with the Fantastic Four. He was working for Dormammu and later on after he was banished to hell, he made an alliance with Mephisto.
In WandaVision, Agatha called her bunny Señor Scratchy.
Vidal shows up to the house with a pizza and asks “do you remember why you hate me?”
They hear something upstairs. It's Teen (whom we all think is actually Billy Kaplan, Wanda's son aka Wiccan). He runs away but is hit by Mrs. Hart's car. Agnes calls him Edward Scissorhands.
He tells her he was looking for “the road.” Then he chants in Latin which seems to affect Agnes.
In the mortuary, there is no body. Talking to herself, she says all of Jane Doe's stats including hair the color of scarlet.
The body appears on the table with the library card as its toe tag. W. Maximoff appears in red script next to Oct 13.
The Westview Branch number #53961 is a reality (timeline) where Gina Atwater, aka a variant of Christine Palmer, is Sorcerer Supreme not Doctor Strange. This is one of the realities mentioned in Multiverse of Madness as well as What If…?
Vidal appears again and tells Agnes that Wanda is gone and all the copies of the Darkhold with her, leaving Agnes trapped in her distorted spell. “Claw your way out.”
She goes through her various outfits and looks from WandaVision starting from the finale and working her way backwards until she is black and white. She finally realizes who she is and her name appears next to the date Jan 21 on the library card.
Agatha awakens in her home, naked. She goes outside to figure out what is going on. Herb tells her she has been in the town for 3 years. She mentions Wanda and he says they try not to say her name. Herb says she seems lucid for a change, aggressive, and powerful.
Inside her house she finds “Teen” tied up in her closet.
Vidal busts in and tells Agatha now that she doesn't have the Darkhold she is vulnerable. They fight but they can't kill each other. Agatha tells her to come back after she gets her purple back.
During their convo, Vidal says “My heart is black and it beats for you.”
She also tells Agatha she is going to tell the Salem 7 where to find her.
Debuting in the Fantastic Four #186, the Salem 7 were fathered by Nicholas Scratch, Agatha's son. They were originally adversaries to the Scarlet Witch and the Fantastic Four but ended up working with them. The Salem 7 are humans with magic powers who can transform into other creatures with powers.
Episodes 1 and 2 of Agatha All Along are now streaming on Disney+.
