Fan-favorite Gungi, the Wookiee Padawan, makes his return when Clone Force 99 encounters him in an unexpected place. It's a battle to save not only Gungi but other Wookiees as well. Let's get into “Tribe” with this Bad Batch Season 2 episode 6 easter eggs and breakdown.

Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 6 Easter Eggs & Breakdown

After riot racing and treasure hunting, this time The Bad Batch is out on a more straightforward mission from Cid. They land the Marauder on Vanguard Axis to make a delivery. She has warned them to watch out for trouble.

While they discuss the delivery with the droids in charge, Omega hears someone crying out in distress. She wanders off and finds a young Wookiee being hurt by the droids. It is Gungi, the Wookiee Padawan.

Clone Force 99 ends up in a standoff with the Droids. Gungi uses The Force to take back his lightsaber and join the battle. The Clones are surprised to see a Jedi.

Naturally wary of Clones, Hunter reassures Gungi by telling him they didn't follow Order 66 and that they do not work for the Empire. Gungi reveals he was trying to get to Kashyyyk (the homeworld of the Wookiee Species) before he was captured by the slave traders.

Hunter is concerned that Gungi won't be safe anywhere because he is a Jedi. But they all agree to take Gungi to a Wookiee village they are familiar with on Kashyyyk.

When they arrive on the planet they discover a strong Imperial presence.

In the woods, they encounter Kinrath, giant arachnids that are not only venomous but spin webs as well. Gungi gets the group through the woods by using The Force. He also teaches them about respecting the forest and its creatures who in turn will respect them.

Past the Kinrath, they find Trandoshans with a Wookiee hostage. They have Imperial Tanks and they are destroying the forest.

The Trandoshan contacts Commander Venomor, asking what to do with the carved stones they have come across. He tells them to blast them.

Babwa Venomor was originally created for an unfinished arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars set on Kashyyyk. Dave Filoni showed his concept art at Star Wars Celebration in 2015.

Gungi confronts the Trandoshan and frees the hostage. Other Wookiees arrive riding giant cat-like creatures with bat ears. They take the Batch and Gungi to their leader, Yanna who agrees to help Gungi.

Troopers show up and see the lightsaber marks. Knowing how valuable a Jedi would be, Venomor wants to burn the jungle to the ground until they find him.

The Bad Batch stays to help the Wookies fight the Trandoshans and reclaim their land.

Gungi battles Venomor and eventually the Kinrath take him. Legit stuff of nightmares here. With the battle over, the Batch leaves Gungi who now has a new home with a new Tribe on Kashyyyk.

Episodes 1-6 of The Bad Batch Season 2 are now streaming on Disney+.
