Agatha All Along Episode 4 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
Alice tells the others her mother did die on the road (but not THE road) while on tour with her band due to a hotel fire. She only agreed to come with Agatha because her mother told her the Witches Road would save her from their family's curse.
Teen thinks Sharon aka Mrs. Hart died because they didn't look out for each other.
Since they need a green witch, Agatha suggests summoning one.
Using Teen's spell book, they summon a green witch- Videl, who rises out of the ground like a zombie.
Skipping down the road like The Wizard of Oz, they come to another house in the woods. Alice wants to avoid it but The Road has other plans.
On this door, the Moon is a Waxing Moon- The Fire Phase.
This time the house transforms them into 70s rock stars. Imagery of witches dying, devils, and demon masks adorn the walls of the pseudo recording studio.
Dropheat is one of plaques on the wall along with a picture of Lorna Wu, Alice's mother. Lorna Wu was trying to access the road through her concerts.
Once again Lilia seems to have a message for them. She starts to say Alice! Don't!
Agatha and Fidel have a conversation in the recording studio that the others can hear. They talk about the past and what they want. Videl wants Agatha to kill the witches so she can take their bodies.
Teen starts playing a record that says “play me” but the song is backwards and sounds demonic. It's a record of The Ballad of the Witches Road by Lorna Wu and the Coral Shore.
Other songs on the record:
- Mary Mary
- Red Haired Woman
- Cinnamon & Sage
- Flick of the Wrist
- Swan's Song
Agatha destroys the record player but not before the metronome starts. The trial has begun.
Lilia and Jen feel like they are burning. Alice takes Videl's knife to draw a protection circle.
The only way to end a curse is to face it.
It's Alice's family curse that is attacking them. Lilia and Jen now have the same mark that Alice also has on her shoulders
Teen gets attacked next. Lorna Wu's version of the ballad had extra lyrics, it was a protection spell for Alice. To save them now, they must play her version of the song.
Alice can see the curse and defeats it.
The piano opens up, allowing them to leave. Teen passes out from his injuries. To save him, Jen must make a healing potion.
Lilia makes a remark about the Three of Swords. Tarot readers see it meaning a sorrowful experience that may be in the form of a lost relationship or accidental death.
Jen reveals that she is an 11th generation root worker and midwife who was bound after going to the Obstetrics Association of Greater Boston to share her expertise. She doesn't know how she was bound without the man having magick.
Agatha watches over Teen until he wakes up. He asks if she put the sigil on him. She says no but also says it would work on her as well so even she wouldn't know. In that way, it is similar to the memory spell performed by Doctor Strange for Peter Parker in Spider-Man No Way Home.
The sigil can’t be lifted, only destroyed.
Teen asks what really happened to Agatha's son but she won't answer.
You don’t have to know a person’s name to know who they are.- Agatha
The witches are showing off their battle scars. Lilia has a vampire bite.
Videl says that the person she loved a longtime ago is her scar. She had to do something she didn't want to do and it hurt them.
Agatha thinks Teen might be Nicholas but Videl says “that boy isn’t yours.”
