I don't know about you other moms but I legitimately hate getting flowers, candles, and other hallmark-y type gifts for Mother's Day. If you're like me or your mom is like me, then these are the top gifts for moms that love pop culture, snarky humor, and having fun.

Top Gifts For Moms
If flowers and sappy cards are your thing, then no shade here. I just personally would rather not get anything at all then get something that is going to die or collect dust in a box until enough time has passed to throw it out. Yeah I said it. Now if you found something that is either snarky, really cool, or part of one of my favorite fandoms then yes please. I'm here to receive all that goodness.
If you're looking for Pop Culture goodies, video games, or books that your mom actually wants then you have come to the right place. This may or may not make you the favorite child, just don't tell your siblings.
Studio Ghibli
It's no surprise Anime made this list. Studio Ghibli has made some of my all-time favorite anime films from Princess Mononoke to My Neighbor Totoro. Chronicle Books has a great selection of Ghibli journals, sketchbooks, and more. For me I had to have this My Neighbor Totoro journal and Howl's Moving Castle Sketchbook. They are almost too cute to write in!

Ratatouille
Not the meal, but the Rat! Fans of the film, cooking, the ride at Disney World, and/or the delicious crepe restaurant in Epcot– La Crêperie de Paris this is the pick for you. Anyone Can Cook A Ratatouille Journal, is beautifully decorated with full-color illustrations inspired by the film and includes helpful conversions, ingredient substitutions, and explanations of common cooking terms.
On top of that, there is space to record your own recipes as well as leave a “critic's review.” Hopefully no one is as hard on you as Anton Ego was in the film.

Disappointing Affirmations
I share memes like it's my job and some of my favorites are the ones that go against the whole overly positive and cheery ones. So imagine my absolute delight when I found Disappointing Affirmations, a super popular instagram account now in book form. Author Dave Tarnowski gives a realistic take on our disappointing world where failure is always an option, but that’s okay.
“Don't be afford to try new things Like maybe getting your sh*t together.” I don't know about all that Dave but I do know this book has been given a prominent spot on my bookshelves.

Nintendo Switch Games
If you have spent anytime on this site you know we are a family of gamers. So if your mom also loves to game whether she's into something chill aka cozy or up for a little more adventure here are some perfect picks.
Disney Dreamlight Valley
Cozy gaming meets Disney Parks. It's like Animal Crossing but Disney which (despite my love for A.C.) makes the whole gaming mechanics even better. Give mom the gift of designing her own perfect Disney-fied home. Bonus if you also give her her favorite coffee and snacks to enjoy while she plays. Extra bonus, if you don't ask her any questions while she plays. These bonuses also apply for the next game and really any gift you give her.

Princess Peach Showtime
New on Nintendo Switch, this game features Princess Peach finally leading the charge and not waiting on her plumber boy to save her. Our girl must save the Sparkle Theater from the wicked Grape and the Sour Bunch and since this is a drama production, Peach gets to change outfits befitting her mission. It's a fun game for all ages, but mostly mom who has been playing as Mario and Luigi her whole life and finally gets to be Peach outside of Mario Kart and other random team-ups.
