X-Men 97 Episode 6 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
The Watcher's shadow can be seen again on the left side of the screen before the camera pans to the battle.
The Kree are battling the Shi'ar forces.
But they are easily defeated by Deathbird. Cal'syee Neramani aka Deathbird is the sister of Shi'ar Empress Lilandra who has superhuman powers and wings. Shi'ar is an intergalactic empire that rules a million worlds.
Ronan the Accuser, yes the same one from the MCU, is the leader of the Kree. He refuses to bow to Deathbird but Gladiator puts him in his place.
Her forces include Gabriel Summers aka Vulcan, Scott Summer's youngest brother. He has energy powers as well and is considered Omega-Level after the events of M-Day in the comics.
Along with Vulcan are Alexander Summers aka Havok, the middle Summers brother. He has energy conversion powers and is considered Alpha-Level.
She wants to know where the Supreme Intelligence has fled.
Her sister appears- the Empress. She has a message for Deathbird about a Terran man they helped the universes- Dr. Charles Xavier, Professor X, appears by her side, walking. He is to be the new Emperor.
Xavier wants her to go to Earth, so that he can reunite with his X-Men, just to see them. She suggests he should invite them to the wedding.
The suit she has given Charles is what allows him to walk.
In Texas, Storm is caring for Forge. The Adversary lurks nearby, questioning her.
Forge has been infected by The Adversary's bite- some sort of demonic infection.
The Adversary wants her to let Forge die. It shuts her in a box, berating her for giving up on her power. Forge vanquishes The Adversary before falling to the floor. He's dying, but his mother's notes have some hope in them- a medicine made from a special Cacti.
Back on Shi'ar, the Arakki are not fans of her marrying an outsider.
Deathbird also opposes and invokes the Rite of M'Dashaa- he must pass a test of her choosing in order to prove his loyalty. She wants him to erase all of his memories of Earth and his life there. She demands that Lilandra be the one to erase his mind.
Charles is looking at artwork of Shi'ar gods- Sharra and K'ythri, opposing forces who married to bring peace. Gladiator joins him. Charles references Rudyard Kipling.
He doesn't want to forget Magnus- Magneto. The only other way they can be together is if Lilandra gives up her throne which is what Deathbird wants.
Forge and Storm make it to the area where the cacti grows. Storm is starting to accept that she can be human and still be a good person.
Charles goes before the council the Rite of M'Dashaa, he hesitates and Deathbird charges in. She claims he is less then. Other look down on him for being a mutant.
A fight breaks out and Xavier takes control of them all with his greatest gift, the gift of being a teacher. He takes them to school in the astral plane.
Storm crawls through a tunnel. The Adversary is waiting for her. Storm embraces her true self and her powers return. “I am lightning!”
She gets the cacti needed to help Forge and applies the ointment to his wounds.
The globe starts to spin and then becomes energizes. A Zombie Gambit appears in the astral plane school. Xavier realizes he has been killed and that his children, the mutants are in serious trouble. Xavier chooses to return to his X-Men.
Master Mold has been accessed by Bolivar for Mr. Sinister.
