Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 13 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
On Tantiss, Omega meets Eva and the other children in The Vault. Their names are Jax, Sami, and Bayrn, the baby Cad Bane stole. She sees that Eva has her Tooka doll.
They warn Omega that the people in charge don’t like them talking to each other or causing problems. Omega of course is always ready to cause some problems.
Phee drops Clone Force 99 and Rampart off to rendezvous with Echo. They refuse to let Rampart go until they get the exact coordinates to Tantiss.
Echo arrives with a stolen shuttle the guys can use for their mission. He calls Rampart a hydrosnake and while there is no creature in canon by that name (until now), we get the idea Echo. Hunter doesn’t trust Rampart but knows he is their best bet to find Omega.
Rampart tells them that any ship that goes to Tantiss has to dock at Imperial Station 003 which orbits Coruscant. There the coordinates are transmitted directly to the navicomputer.
Their plan is to head to the station, find a ship departing for Tantiss, and copy the codes. To do that however, they will need Imperial Clearance Codes. Echo has those but they will also need Rampart to play a role. He will walk right into the station with Echo and the Batch dressed up as his security detail. They got him a Captain’s uniform which he scoffs at- I was a Vice Captain.
Emerie comes in to take another sample from Omega. While Emerie's back is turned, Omega takes one of her medical tools– she’s making a plan to get herself and the other children out.
Omega asks the other children questions. She wants to learn their daily schedules. Omega tells them she has escaped this mountain before and she’s going to do it again and this time she will take all of them with her.
On the ship, the Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Echo have stripped their armor of identifying marks. Now it’s up to Rampart to sell them and their whole story. He says they are going to stick out like overheated Gamorreans. Yes, the pig guys. Rude.
Ship Name: Alpha 44
Hunter reminds Rampart that the Empire betrayed and imprisoned him and that they got him out. He warns him to remember that before he tries anything shady.
They are stopped by a Lieutenant but Rampart scares him off by telling him to contact Governor Tarkin if he has any issues with them.
Mouse droids scurry around and a R2 unit is seen on the way to the control panel.
Rampart gets the troopers guarding the room to leave by mentioning Article 15 of Imperial standing orders 10. Gotta love corporate jargon no one ever thinks to question. Once inside, they stun the officer and begin to look for the coordinates to Tantiss.
Wrecker, who was left on their ship, knocks out the Lieutenant who is questioning their ship documents.
They find out that in Bay 8 there is a Science Vessel about to go to Tantiss. But there is no way to get the coordinates before it launches. The Empire only transmits them after the ship has taken off.
New plan: Echo will infiltrate the ship and disable proximity sensors while Hunter will attach their ship to that vessel and hitch a ride.
Omega, using the stolen instrument, pries open panels in her cell, looking for a way out. Dr. Scalder goes to check on her, suspicious but Omega has put everything back before she gets there. Omega tells the others she has found their way out in the walls.
A gang of R2 units head to the science vessel to load up. Echo sneaks aboard using their droid port.
Right before the Science Vessel launches into hyperspace, Echo gets the proximity sensors deactivated and Hunter is able to hitch a ride with the ship. They are finally headed to Tantiss.
