After extracting information from Nala Se's data pad, Clone Force 99 sets out to meet up with Echo and Rex to form a plan to rescue their brothers. They also learn something that pretty much rules out a popular fan theory. I'm bummed about it too. Let's get into “Infiltration” with this Bad Batch Season 3 episode 6 easter eggs, breakdown, and recap.
Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 6 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
A Clone X Trooper watches as Senator Singh from the planet Raxus, walks with Rex. Singh's droid, GS-8, is worried the Senator is in danger.
Raxus is the capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and served as the meeting place for Padme Amidala and her friend, Separatist Senator Mina Bonteri.
Clone X Troopers also called Sniper X and Shadows, are Clone troopers who have been brainwashed into forgetting everything about themselves in order to work as a clone assassin for the Empire.
Rex takes Singh to meet with Senator Riyo Chuchi, the young Senator who stood up for the clones last season.
The Clone X Trooper is trying to access the facility. He takes out Greer. Rex pursues the assailant, finally cornering him. They stun him, revealing it is a “shadow” aka Clones without identifying numbers.
In his belongings is a highly encrypted data puck. Rex wants Fireball to find out what is on it. Having learned from the last time they encountered one of these troopers, they remove his ability to electrocute himself. Now he can be questioned.
Back on Tantiss, Captain Scorch activates another Shadow, ordering him to track the other one down and get rid of him.
Rex learns that Senator Singh and Omega were the Shadow's targets.
As he continues to question the Shadow, he tells him they know about Coruscant, Tantiss, and Daro.
Daro is the planet where the Empire had a top secret military base, home of Project War-Mantle. This project was to replace its clone trooper army with conscripted soldiers.
Echo takes Hunter and the others to his base with Rex. Hunter asks about Gregor. At least we know he is going to survive this season!
Echo gives Omega a new energy crossbow. He found one thanks to some of the interesting contacts he has made across the galaxy. Wonder who that could be?
The Shadow Trooper finds their base. And yes I would also love to believe it's Tech.
Howzer, who joined the Clones' cause, refuses to trust Crosshair. So Omega tells them about the experiments that are happening on Tantiss. Rex seems to think he has heard of the M-Count before but isn’t sure.
In order to gain their trust and to help the mission, Crosshair reveals he was experimented on in order to become one of the Shadows. However, the experiments didn't work because of his “defective” genetics. Crosshair warns that the operative they captured can be tracked no matter what their machines tell them. Which is how the Shadow found them.
This statement by Crosshair seems to disprove the popular fan theory that Tech was captured by the Empire and made into one of these Shadows. Tech is equally as defective as Crosshair.
The Shadow makes it into the room where Omega and the others are eating. He sees her in his scope but doesn’t shoot, instead he tells Scorch he has a visual on Hemlock’s primary target. The Shadow attacks while the captured clone laughs knowing the Empire is coming for them all.
More troopers head their way, led by Clone Commander Wolffe. tells his officers to set blasters to stun, they need Omega alive.
The Bad Batch Season 3 Episodes 1-7 are now streaming on Disney+.
