Ahsoka Episode 8 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
With the cargo loaded, Thrawn plans his departure from Peridea. But first he sends out two Tie Fighters to take out Ahsoka's ship.
Underestimate a Jedi? Not Thrawn. He mentions how he fell to the heroics of a single Jedi.
Morgan Elsbeth is rewarded by the Great Mothers with the gift of shadows- she becomes a Nightsister. She is gifted with The Blade of Talzin. This is a flaming green that the Nightsister Matriarch, Mother Talzin, summoned from the ether during her duel with Jedi Master Mace Windu during the Clone Wars.
Inside Ahsoka's ship, Ezra is building a new lightsaber.
Huyang doesn't approve of his methods. Who taught you how to build a lightsaber anyways? Kanan Jarrus.
Guess who taught Kanan to build lightsabers? Huyang. He tells Ezra that young Caleb (Kanan's name before Order 66) was clever, curious, and a little shy. Huyang gives Ezra a piece that Kanan used to make his lightsaber.
Ezra's new lightsaber looks and is the same color as Kanan's saber.
Kanan's Theme can also be heard as Ezra builds the lightsaber.
Huyang also explains what happened on Mandalore after the war and why Ahsoka and Sabine are at odds.
Ahsoka tells Sabine she is not mad because she made her own difficult choices over the years. She tells her that Anakin always stood by her, that's why she will stand by Sabine.
The Tie Fighters attack. Although the ship is damaged, Sabine is able to take out the fighters.
Thrawn prepares for a ground assault while Huyang and the Noti try to repair the ship.
Despite an aerial attack, the three make it inside the fortress. Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine then battle the Night Troopers.
They take them out but The Night Troopers are raised from the dead by the Great Mothers. These Zombies are brought back to life when the chant of resurrection is spoken. This was first seen in The Clone Wars but is also a part of the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order game.
The Great Mothers and Elsbeth are ready to leave but Thrawn is concerned about the Jedi. “For the Empire”
For Dathomir – Elsbeth.
Ahsoka faces off with Elsbeth. Her duel sabers against the blade of Talzin. Sabine and Ezra take down two Zombie Night Troopers. Sabine finally uses The Force.
Ezra makes it onto Thrawn's ship, leaving Ahsoka and Sabine to fight off Elsbeth and the Night Troopers. Ahsoka kills Elsbeth and Huyang arrives with the ship chasing down Thrawn.
Thrawn sends Ahsoka a message. He calls her a ronin. In Star Wars Visions, Ronin was a a former Jedi who broke from Jedi rules and created the Sith.
Long Live The Empire. Thrawn makes the jump to hyperspace. Ahsoka and Sabine are left to return to Peridea.
The two reunite with the Noti, Morai appears to Ahsoka. She continues to watch over Ahsoka.
Shin is with the nomads.
Baylan is standing on the finger of The Father Statue. The Father's children, The Daughter and the Son, represented the light and dark side of the force. The Father tested Anakin Skywalker and determined he was the Chosen One. He wanted Anakin to stay on Mortis to bring balance to the Force. Anakin declined.
Next to the Father on the right is The Son while on the left is The Daughter, missing her head.
A beacon is flashing in the distance.
Ezra reunites with Hera and Chopper, the droid is the one who knew it was Ezra.
In the distance, Anakin's Force Ghost smiles as he watches Sabine and Ahsoka.
