The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 7 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
Elia Kane chats with Moff Gideon and tells him how the pirates were taken out by Bo-Katan, Din, and the other Mandalorians. He ends the call and walks down the hallway, passing Stormtroopers that resemble the Phase 2 clone troopers from the prequel trilogy. Vats and Tubes of cloning materials can be seen as he walks.
He then arrives at the meeting of The Shadow Council, with other Imperial Warlords including Gilad Pellaeon (Xander Berkeley) and Brendol Hux (Brian Gleeson), the father of General Hux. Gideon criticizes Pellaeon for waiting for Thrawn to return and Hux for focusing on Project Necromancer aka his cloning work. Gideon tells them they need to deal with the Mandalorians.
Hux asks about Dr. Pershing and his research. Moff says his work is lost…for now.
Pellaeon previously appeared in the finale of Star Wars Rebels, but is more notably from the Thrawn novels. He is Thrawn's second-in-command.
Brian Gleeson is the brother of Domhall Gleeson who played General Hux in the Sequel Trilogy.
The Shadow Council first appeared in the novel Aftermath: Life Death. It was created by Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax with Grand Admiral Rae Sloane serving as the figurehead.
To deal with the Mandalorian problem, Gideon requests Praetorian Guards, from The Last Jedi, Tie Interceptors and Tie Bombers.
The group chants “Long live the Empire.”
On Navarro, the Mandalorians have returned with their fleet. The citizens are concerned at first since their fleet has old Imperial ships like a light cruiser, but Karga knows it is the Mandalorians.
Bo-Katan is worried about the meeting since the two groups don't like each other. Din thinks they will come together because they all want to survive. The Armorer welcomes them and Din goes with Karga to see his gift.
That gift is IG-11. IG-11 has been brought back by the Anzellans, sort of. IG-12 (as he is now called) acts as a suit for Grogu who can sit inside of the droid and control it. He also has a “yes” “no” function. Din thinks he is too young but Grogu loves it.
In the market, Grogu takes things from a Tarsunt's booth without paying like a meiloorun fruit. Din is not a fan of this behavior in the suit.
Bo-Katan makes a speech about how they need to retake Mandalore. She wants to take a small recon group down to the surface while the others stay in orbit above the planet. Din and Grogu volunteer as well as Koska Reeves, Axe Woves, Paz Viszla, The Armorer and others from both tribes.
They leave Nevarro and go to Mandalore. Bo-Katan takes the scouting party to the surface. They head for The Forge.
A land ship appears on the horizon. It is other surviving Mandalorians, they share a meal together. Bo-Katan tells them that she did surrender after the Night of a Thousand Tears to try and save the people who were left. Moff Gideon betrayed that agreement and purged Mandalore.
The survivors ask if the others are Death Watch. The Armorer tells them the Death Watch is no more. Bo-Katan reminds them that they are too powerful to defeat when they all band together. They need to stop all their divisions.
Din tells Bo-Katan that he understands now that what he was taught is wrong about her and the others. He vows to serve her.
The Armorer takes the wounded back to the gauntlet and the fleet. The Captain of the survivors (Charles Parnell) takes Bo-Katan and the others to the Great Forge.
Grogu stops a fight between Vizsla and Woves. Again, Din tells Bo-Katan that “he didn't learn that from me.”
The ship is attacked by a lava beast. Regrouping, the Mandalorians then go to Sundari where they encounter Moff Gideon and his Beskar Stormtroopers.
Moff Gideon has been using Mandalore as his base of operations.
Din is captured by Gideon's forces. Moff Gideon appears in his new upgraded Beskar Dark Trooper armor.
Gideon sends out the Interceptors and Bombers to take out the Mandalorian Fleet. Bo-Katan uses the Darksaber to help them escape Gideon's trap.
In order to give time for the others to make it out, Paz fights off a group of Beskar Troopers. However, he is attacked by Praetorian Guards. Paz Vizsla dies.
