The Book of Boba Fett Episode 4 Easter Eggs & Breakdown
Boba is in the Bacta Tank which means another look at his life with the Tuskens. After honoring those killed by the Nikto Bike gang, Boba makes his way to Jabba's palace and looks for a way in.
While sharing his dinner with his bantha, an explosion sounds in the distance. Investigating, Boba finds Fennec Shand left for dead after Toro Calican shot her in the Mandalorian.
To save her life, Boba takes her to the modifier who is doing the droid modifications we saw on the human speeder bike gang last episode. One of the brightly colored bikes is shown outside the mod-parlor.
Fennec awakes to her new machine gut and Boba tells her how he saved her life. He knows that she is a master assassin from the Mid Rim. She thinks he plans to turn her in but money is not what he is after.
Boba Fett is dead. He tells her the story of how he was left for dead, like her on the sands of Tatooine and what happened once the Tuskens saved his life.
Fett wants Fennec's help recovering his Firespray gunship. This is the name of the style of ship of the Slave 1. It was confirmed awhile ago that Star Wars was moving away from using the name Slave 1. However, the Slave 1 has always been a Firespray ship much like the Millennium Falcon is a modified Corellian light freighter. Basically, all ships with fun names have model names.
She agrees to help only if her debt is paid after they recover the ship.
Fennec sends in a mini sphere that can map out the palace for them. Meanwhile, Boba releases his Bantha to the wild and explains his next steps:
- Get his armor back. (Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6 The Tragedy)
- Kill the person who betrayed him- Bib Fortuna.
Boba says he is done hunting, he is tired of working for idiots. Fennec's orb device returns and reveals a layout of the guards inside the palace.
The cooking droid is stirring a pot with n one-eyed frog. This is a Sorgan Frog, a species that was first seen in season 1 of The Mandalorian.
It's hard not to make some comparisons with the Chef droid and General Grievous. Gotta love the multiple arms.
A LEP Series Servant droid makes a live-action debut. This droid has been seen a lot previously in The Clone Wars. It gets the better of Boba for a minute as it runs away from him in the kitchen.
And there it is, Boba Fett's iconic ship.
During the shootout with the guards, one yells Sleemo! That is slang for slime ball.
Fennec shoots a Gonk Droid aka a GNK power droid.
Instead of leaving, Fennec decides to stay for the ride. Boba has a few scores to settle, the first is with the Nitko Biker Gang that killed the Tuskens. He makes short work of them and heads to the Sarlacc Pit, he believes his armor is still there.
Fennec believes the armor would be dissolved by now, but it's not just regular armor, it is Beskar.
Seismic charge into the Sarlacc pit means no more beastie. Boba Fett explores the pit but does not find his armor because the Jawas have it.
Fennec suggests he finds a Bacta Tank to help recover from the acid exposure both in the past and after this hunt for armor.
A flashback shows the post credit of the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian when Boba Fett takes our Bib Fortuna.
Boba Fett is healed.
Fennec says the Mayor's Majordomo is singing like a Yuzzum. Yuzzums are creatures from Endor. Joh Yowza, a Yuzzum, was known to sing with Max Rebo's Band.
Black Krrsantan ripped someone's arm off as he goes into a rage at The Sanctuary. Boba hires him for a job. This isn't the first time we have seen the famed Wookiee arm rip. Chewbacca did it as well in Solo.
At the palace, Boba has a meeting with the rest of Jabba's former captains. He proposes they work together to get the Pyke Syndicate off their planet. When they question his rule, his Rancor growls from below. They are eating over top of the trap door that leads to the Rancor's cage.
Standing outside the palace, Fennec and Fett discuss hiring muscle to help with the coming war with the Pykes. The Mandalorian Theme can be heard playing, teasing that Din Djarin might make a cameo appearance on the show.
