The Chocolatier Restaurant at Hersheypark is officially open to the public! I had the chance to preview the space (it's gorgeous by the way) and some of the drinks and eats that are on the menu. Here is everything you need to know about the newest full service bar, restaurant, and patio at Hershey.
The Chocolatier Restaurant at Hersheypark
Hershey's Chocolatown is the newest area at Hersheypark. It has completely reimagined how guests arrive at the park as well as what they experience once inside. Chocolatetown honors the legacy of Hershey founder, Milton S. Hershey while bringing in all-new experiences. This year Hersheypark debuted three new dining experiences in Chocolatetown. Milton's Ice Cream Parlor and The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen opened first and they are must stops on your way in or out of the park.
Finally, The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio opened Memorial Day weekend. It features past and present pieces from the Hersheypark ride collection, one-of-a-kind views of neighboring attractions, and a second story patio with a bar. The Chocolatier celebrates the life and legacy of Mr. Hershey by continuing to bring people together for happiness, fun, and of course, chocolate.
Prior to its public debut, I got the chance to explore the space and try out ma y of the delicious food and drink items on the menu. I'm sharing my top picks below. But before we get to the food, here is everything you need to know as you plan your visit to The Chocolatier.
Hours of Operation
The Chocolatier is open daily from 11am-9pm. This is an all-year restaurant with a menu that will adjust accordingly to the seasons.
Location
The Chocolatier is located inside Hershey's Chocolatetown no the second floor of the Hersheypark Supply Co. It can be accessed from outside or inside the park. That means you don't need park tickets in order to enjoy The Chocolatier. Being on the second floor gives you amazing views of the park from the outside patio.
Reservations
The Chocolatier is now taking reservations! The outside patio is available on a first come first serve basis.
Gluten Free Options
Does the Chocolatier offer gluten free options? Yes! Check out The Chocolatier Menu for a full list of items.
My Top Picks
The Chocolatier Menu has something for everyone. Here are my must tries at The Chocolatier, with pictures because you need to see these things up close!
Ferris Wheel Sampler: This mega sampler features Hershey's Chocolate Barbecue Chicken Wings, Crispy Mozzarella, Classic Chicken Tenders, Buffalo Chicken Dip, and Soft Pretzel Dippers. All of that is served in a fun mini Ferris Wheel.
Chocolatetown Burger: Thick cut bacon, smoked cheddar, Hershey's chocolate drizzled potato chips, served with French fries.
Chicken and Waffles: This was Milton Hershey's favorite meal. The students of the Milton Hershey School helped to develop this recipe with the chef. Sink your teeth into hand-breaded chicken, house-made sweet potato waffle, honey hot sauce, and apricot butter.
Sweet Spun Martini: Stoli Vanil Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, white cranberry juice, and cotton candy. Yes cotton candy, not only in the glass melted nicely by the liquids but also around the rim. It's pink and it's tasty. I recommend enjoying it on the patio with a view of the Kisses Fountain.
Cookies & Cream Cheesecake: White chocolate cheesecake with dark chocolate cookie pieces, chocolate cooke crust, chocolate & strawberry sauce, and whipped cream.
S’Mores Than Chocolate Cake & Ice Cream: Graham cracker cake, toasted marshmallow ice cream, smoked graham cracker crumble, toasted marshmallow fluff, with a sidecar of melted milk chocolate.
There is all that and more waiting for you at The Chocolatier at Hersheypark.
