Say Goodbye To Ugly Wires With Legrand!

October 19, 2017 By Ashley 19 Comments

I remember being so excited when we were able to hang our TV on the wall. It was safe from little hands and furry feet. But those darn wires were just hanging there. Unsightly, but what could we do? Everything I looked into seemed like a complicated mess just to hide a few wires. I have finally discovered a simple way to clean up our TV room. Now I can say goodbye to ugly wires with Legrand In-Wall power Kit!

I love that this is an easy routing of TV power and HDMI cable in-wall, with no electrical wiring required. My favorite thing about this other than it's simplicity? Legrand In-Wall Power Kit comes with almost everything you need! Just grab your philips head screwdriver, tape measure, and a pencil.

To give you an idea of what this involves, Best Buy has a great video to watch!

The Before:

I've seen worse wire situations but it's still unsightly. I couldn't wait to hide those wires and make this part of the room organized!
Once we determined where we wanted the holes to be, we started drilling. Okay not we, it was my husband, but I was there for moral support! We used the provided saw handle for the top hole and a power drill for the bottom. The saw works with either, so it is up to you.

Tip: Measure your HDMI and other cables prior to drilling. We did not and had to delay finishing our project so we could get cords long enough to feed through the wall. Good thing Best Buy had what we needed!
Once you have the right sized cords, setup is easy. Install the upper module first. This is where the TV plugs into the power kit and being to feed your wires connecting to the TV through the wall to the bottom. Legrand includes fish tape and a fish hook to make this part easy.

Pull your wires out through the bottom, connect to your devices, finishing by plugging the provided power cord into your outlet and the bottom module.

All done! Start to finish, minus the HDMI cable run, it took less than a hour this DIY project. You don't need fancy carpentry skills, or tools, to clean up your TV room and make it look great!

I have wires everywhere, seriously. I’ve tried everything to hide them including putting objects in front of them. I won’t have to do that now thanks to Legrand.

Not only this Legrand In-Wall Power Kit could make the room look more organized, but it also creates a safe environment for families with small babies. I already dream of the scenario when my house is spick and span.

I know I have had friends do setups like that with wiring their house. I think I would just be to nervous to try it out myself. It does look like a great product though for organization.

I’d absolutley love to have this, since we have a lot connected on our entiretainment center…however, we are renting and can’t drill holes.

I would love this. A lot of tv wall mounts have those ugly wires so this is a great way to cover them!

I was actually thinking about this ironically. I really don’t like having cords all over the place. It’s annoying.
