Last week the family and I headed to Fairfax to see our last Ringling Bros show. I grew up visiting the circus, and dreaming of training the big cats. Who wouldn't want to hug a lion? Spoiler alert: I still want that snuggle! It is hard to believe Ringling Bros has been around for over a 100 years and that 2017 would be the year they give their final bow. My Ringling Bros Out of this World recap is dedicated to the amazing performers both past and present. Thank you for the laughs.
Before the Show
Get to your seats early for a special treat! The performers were out in the concourse area and walking through the stands chatting with families, posing for pictures, and signing autographs. In the center ring, several different acts put on mini shows, including Alexander Lacey and Max.
Then the show began, and wow what a show! Out of this World lives up to it's name. From ice skating antics, upside down on the ceiling dance offs, pyrotechnics, to magic, Out of this World had the audience captivated the entire time. Don't worry, along with all the new fun, you can still see the classics like the Motorcycle Cage, Trapeze Artists, Clowns, and Big Cats.
The ice is on fire!
The MC of the show is Ringmaster Jonathan Lee Iverson! I might be biased because we met a few years ago, but he is the best ringmaster out there.
Out of this World is not just a circus show, it is a story. A story about finding who you are, real friendship, and learning to work together.
Washington DC area fans there is still one more weekend left to see Out of this World!
