I've been to some pretty crazy shopping areas like Rodeo Drive and Times Square. Even our local mall has a Tesla dealership inside of it! Then I visited Disney Springs and experienced shopping in a way only Disney could do it. I was impressed not only by the variety of shops, dining, and entertainment, but the overall theming. It really was like visiting four different towns, that are all new yet somehow familiar at the same time. And yes, the shopping is amazing!
“In Disney Springs, you enter more than a place to shop and dine,” said Keith Bradford, vice president of Disney Springs. “You enter a story–as only Disney can tell it.”
Prior to this trip, our last stop at Disney Springs was when they had just changed names from Downtown Disney and the multiyear reimagination was beginning. Now more than 150 venues call Disney Springs home. The whole place is one giant unique experience that has something for everyone.
If you haven't been there in awhile or you think it's just a shopping mall, trust me you need to get over there! Lucky for you I have 5 reasons to visit Disney Springs to convince you to do just that!
Shopping
I figured I would start here since most people visit Disney Springs to shop. There is everything from boutiques to high end retailers to Disney merchandise stores and a whole lot in-between.
UNIQLO, Marketplace Co-op, Kate Spade New York, Alex and Ani, and more! I always make sure to stop by World of Disney, the biggest Disney shopping destination on Earth!
Dining
Classics like the Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express are now joined by places like D-Luxe Burger, Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, and Morimoto Asia.
Entertainment
Looking for live entertainment? Disney Springs has you covered with places like Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, House of Blues, and STK Orlando. Or grab some popcorn and enjoy a movie at the AMC 24.
Sweet Treats
Could this be called dining? Maybe. But desserts should have their own category in my opinion. There are so many places just to grab a sweet treat, like Sprinkles, The Ganachery, and my favorite place Goofy's Candy Co. Did you know you can design your own crispy rice treat there? Ask the wonderful Cast Members all about it next time you visit.
Fun fit for a Princess
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is open in Disney Springs for magical makeovers for princesses and knights ages 3-12! So if your fairy godmother in training is busy in the Magic Kingdom, you can always try this location as well. Keep your eye on the Disney Springs times guide and/or the My Disney Experience App for any shows that might be happening on the stage located in The Marketplace. You never know who you might see when you visit Disney Springs!
What is your favorite place to visit in Disney Springs?
I was invited to the 2017 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I paid a conference fee to attend and received discounted & complimentary items from Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and their sponsors. We were not asked to write about our experiences at the conference. All opinions are my own.
