We are counting down the double digits to our trip home to Walt Disney World. Each time we plan a trip, I try to come up with a new way to surprise them. Once Tinkerbell delivered a special note with gifts from Mickey Mouse. Another time they woke up one morning to find Mickey had sent them new Disney luggage so they could pack it full of all the things they would need to come visit. This time I knew I had to come up with something different. I put on my Minnie Mouse ears and set to work coming up with Disney-themed clues. I'm sharing this Disney World vacation scavenger hunt so you can surprise your little ones too.
Now my daughter is a smarty pants. And little brother is quick to try to figure out what Mommy might be up to. I knew they would get why I wanted them to do this scavenger hunt by the first or second clue. To trick them I told them a few days prior I was working on a game for a new blog post and I needed their help. Both agreed to help and couldn't wait to solve the clues.
Here are a few of the clues they found on their journey around the house.
The first clue was on the bathroom wall where they had to go to hang up their pool stuff. They also changed back into their PJs. We like to live comfy!
It was fun coming up with the clues and finding a way to incorporate their Disney things into the game.
Yes I made the clues go from one level of the house to the next. So this game can double as exercise if you want!
The Captain America clue took them the longest to find. Which was funny because he was right out in the open!
This last clue brought them to our movies, specifically the one about the “Best Day Ever!” See what I did there!
They closed their eyes and held out their hands. They thought I was going to give them a toy or some other treat. Instead, I was holding a sign that said “WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!” Lets just they were excited. I know this because it took a bit to regained hearing in my ears!
