It's Monday. Again. Oh weekend where have thou gone?
My weekend was a lot of fun but too short! What is with that? As far as my 5K training is going I am still more tortoise than hare but I am pushing through nonetheless. Finished up week 3 on Saturday and week 4 starts today. Upping the run time from 1:30 to 3 minutes was tough. Now it's going to be 3mins and 5 mins intervals…yikes.
But there is some good news, all this running and booty shaking is paying off. Scale Victory: I lost another 2lbs!!ย Non-Scale Victory: I'm still drinking my water before each meal and at least 1 glass in the morning before I drink tea or coffee (gasp! yes that has been a hard one!)
My best friend who is training with me wants us to sign up for another 5K in September. I'm a little hesitant because well I'm still not a runner and I still have no love for the sport. But we do want to work our way up to the Disney Princess half-marathon so looks like I will be signing up for another 5K. Although I am getting into the routine of being a runner I still don't ever see myself as a runner or loving to run. I could still take it or leave it but I am determined to get through this 5K with more running than walking!
If I survive this upped running time I will see you here next week…if not, thanks for reading ๐
How are you doing with your goals?
Lydia
I have to say that when I did the C25K program, I was amazed how much easier 3 and 5 minutes were for running rather than stopping every 90 seconds. Something about letting myself walk in between was frustrating and bothered me! Good luck!
Pam
Good luck on the training for the 5k ๐
