I can't believe it is Monday again. The past week and weekend were productive but very busy. I feel like I slid headfirst into today and I'm still trying to catch my breath!
My little man had his 3 year checkup and I had a feeling there would be some comment on his weight. The doctor (who I love) and I agree if he was on the taller side for his age his weight would look fine on him. But he isn't so his little belly sticks out. She suggested watching his carb intake. Made me feel a bit like a bad mom, but my friend reminded me “you don't give your kids crap food, it's just how he is built.” True I don't feed them bad food, we don't drink juice except once in a blue moon but still when someone says there is something wrong with your baby you take it personally. Or maybe it is just me and I am too sensitive. UGH!
I did better with my water intake this week but did not accomplish my goal of 16ozs everyday. Maybe one of these days I will like water.
One thing I am looking forward to this week is a much needed haircut and highlights! I think it has been over a year since the last time my hair was highlights. Naturally, I have been on pinterest getting my cut and highlight inspiration pinned so I won't waste any time on Wednesday.
Mamavation Tv tonight is going to be a tough one but I'm happy they are discussing abuse and weight gain. Not only have I dealt with this in the past (mine was severe weight loss), I have many friends who gained weight due to being in abusive relationships. If you or someone you know is suffering please join us tonight.
I plan on working out with my Zumba game on the Wii this week. What are your plans to stay active?

I know we all worry about our kids, but remember at 3 he is still growing. If you feed your child well and he gets out to play you are doing well. My daughter (3) is starting to shoot up and thin out quite a bit.
My cousin was always “built”, as you called it. He was active and had a big appetite. His brothers were tall and thinner so it was surprising. (He got teased a lot) Around 15 he shocked us all by shooting up and now (at 34) he is taller and broader than both his older brothers. He is very fit and athletic. -So, you just never know!
Hope you have a good week and life slows down enough for you that you can enjoy it. ๐

You aren’t a bad mom. My daughter’s doc used to say the same thing. She’s fine now. Some kids are just shaped differently! As for this week’s motivation, I’m going to walk daily even though my walking partner is out of town. Makes it a little less exciting, but I’m doing it anyway!

I agree its hard when they tell you things about your children. Jakers was always solid built and Hunter is tall and skinny but Charlie gains 5lbs and it shows big time. He just carries it so differently. Just know that you are feeding them healthy and at this age things can change frequently with weight and height. Good luck on your workouts and getting that water in!

good job on the water intake, i have juice at times but i’ve gotten used to having it watered down and plain juice just seems strong now. have you thught about trying pedisure they advertise that for kids to help them get their nutrients. have an awesome week
