It's official, Christmas break has begun and chaos has ensued! I can tell you that in few hours that passed between breakfast and naptime, the time out corner was very busy. My 2 year old is so excited to have his sister home that he decided to play too rough. She was so excited she decided to be mean to her brother. Which in turn, made mommy crazy.
It only seemed fitting that my blurb for Ruckus Media Group's 12 Days of Free Family Fun was featured today (see it here). As I read over what I submitted, the answer to “How do I keep my kids busy during the holidays?” I laughed. Maybe I should take my own advice. So, I cleared space in the living room, cranked up the kid's custom playlist, and the dance party began. The kids and I worked our crazies out and were ready for naptime. Ok, they napped, I had blogging to catch up on. Although, it would be nice to nap…..but I digress.
My plan for after naptime and the rest of her two weeks off? Well, nothing is set in stone but one thing I do know, I am going to enjoy the time I have with them. So this break we are going to laugh, dance, create, read, and spread love. Are we going to have not so fun times, of course they are siblings! What's important is that they learn to work out disagreements and that mommy doesn't completely lose it when they don't!
Merry Christmas!
Here is one of the craft projects we worked on today: (They make cheap and easy Christmas gifts for grandparents too!)
